Accompanying material that aims to help facilitate the process of other instructors reusing the learning material.

Intellectual Property Rights

The exclusive rights given to persons over the creations of their minds. According to the World Intellectual Property Organization [R1] ‘IP is often divided into two main categories: Industrial property includes patents for inventions, industrial designs, trademarks and geographical indications. Copyright and related rights cover literary, artistic and scientific works, including performances and broadcasts.’

Intermediary file format / source format

The format which is used during the development phase of the learning objects.

Internal quality assurance

The processes and procedures within institutions to review, evaluate, assess or otherwise check, examine or ensure the quality of the learning provided.
