YAICOS is Yet Another Introductory Course on Open Science: a self-paced course designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the foundations, benefits, challenges, and practical applications of Open Science (OS). Through engaging video lectures, curated resources, and self-assessment formative quizzes, learners will explore how Open Science principles are reshaping research culture across disciplines and fostering responsible, transparent, and collaborative research.

Understand the core principles and history of Open Science.
Identify how Open Science applies across various research disciplines.
Appreciate the benefits and advantages of Open Science for research and society.
Navigate legal and ethical considerations in open data sharing
Understand the key components, elements and practices of Open Science, including FAIR open data and EOSC.

Content: Video lectures, key recommended readings and resources, links to extended Skills4EOSC training modules, and other external curated resources.
Assessment: A formative quiz at the end of each module will help reinforce key concepts and assess progress
